the advertising effect

I think most of the people may know a specialized term which is called the "advertising effect". In the modern society, advertisement is become an indispensible part of our life, we can see a lot of advertisements everywhere in the daily life, like the TV, computer, website, market, even on the streets in every corners. When I realized this, I cannot image what our life gonna be if the advertisements disappeared in our life. People usually prefer to buy some goods if it is well known in that field. A good advertisement can show people the quality, purpose and other uses of a good, peoples' mind were controled by the embellish of the advertising, so we called this "advertising effect". My professor showed us a lot of videos on the advertising class, I really love this course and find it interesting, the slogan and image will give customers a lot of  imaginary spaces to find and understand what the designers gonna show to the customers.

what can we learn from the WRA class?

I had taken the WRA 1004 last semester, even though I just take half a month of the WRA 150 in recent weeks, I found that it was harder than the WRA 1004, 1004 was like the basic class of the WRA 100 level +. In the 1004 class, there had a lot of International students, most were chinese, just two or three are americans. We had less reading works and short essays in that class, so what we learned was limited. I think the most interesting thing in this course is updating the blog twice in each week, sometimes we have a topic, sometimes we can do whatever we want, I can understand why our teacher gave us this work because it is absolutely a helpful way to improve our writing skills and can creat our imagination. I never tried to keep writing diary before, in fact, i love writing diaty, but I just can keep writing for less than two months, I admit I am not a clinging person. The thing I found made me not relax was the blog post had the due date and some academic topic, but I know that will take me a lot of benefits.

I believed that most of the people had watched the movie which is called " The Devil wears Prada".  It was acted by Anne Hathaway. you will find various kind of the luxuris bands in this movies, different models have the different styles which different bands can suit all models styles. this movie hint us, just graduate girl has equal chance to jion in this field and do better than others.

About Me

My name is Shuhui Guan, and you can call me Ashley.  I come from China. This is my third year in the MSU and I really love this place, it is like my second home here.

My major is Marketing now, but I may consider to change my major in Advertising, because I found that I am not good at the business classes such as the accounting, finance, economic and so on, these are hard for me and make me confused sometimes. I love advertising, it is belong to the college of communication arts & science, that is what I interested in. The classes also interesting than the business courses for me. After I graduate from MSU, I may find a job in the TV station, magazine office or some companies like Victoria's secret, that is my dream and what I am looking for.

I had taken the WRA 1004 before, so I love this course and I found that writing can effect me a lot. It is not only a class for writing, but also can help us to improve our reading skills and listening. From this class, I am very exciting and ready to learn how to make my essays looks more professional and correct my grammer. In the end, I am very happy to make friends with all you guys in this class and hope we can help each other to improve a lot.
